4. In this task I will be analysing 3 different magazines for colleges and seeing what sort of competition I will face throughout.

This is one example of a college magazine that has been made and its contents.
L: The magazine is laid out very well. There are a mix of colours but mainly white, blue and a bit of grey. I think the colours all mix together effectively. The image is the main focus on the cover and it grabs attention of the reader, I think using a MCU will work better that the image shown though. I think by looking at the cover and the contents you can tell that this is a magazine for people at college.
I: The magazine doesn’t really have any organization or anything about it. For example it does not have any tv or radio shows organized.
I: This magazine does not show any ideology (ideas beliefs that I can spot on the front cover or in the contents therefore am not able to analyse the area.
A: It is made quite clearly that the target audience is for people at college(teenagers). You pick this up in the contents when it talks about college and what it will be discussing in the magazine.
R: I think that the representation of it is very important as it makes it look professional. With the image on the cover giving it an urban feel, therefore you get the feeling it is aimed at teenagers anyway. I think bright colours are used effectively to add life to it.
